How we make money

• Contractor referral / lead fees — when you request quotes, we may be paid by contractors we match you with (see our Lead Generation Disclosure)
• Affiliate partnerships — if you click a link to a partner (for example, a financing provider, a maintenance-plan service, or an equipment retailer) and take an action, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you

What compensation does not change

• Our cost calculators and their formulas — these are documented in our HVAC Cost Methodology
• The order of non-sponsored directory listings
• The guidance and recommendations in our content
• Whether a non-sponsored business appears in the directory

Labeling

Paid placements are labeled "Sponsored" or "Featured." Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages where they appear. If something is an ad or a paid relationship, we tell you.
